Groin Injury

Preventative groin wrapping is used to accelerate return to play in the rehabilitative stage of injury treatment; however, it is unknown whether it negatively impacts skating performance. We are examining the effect of standard groin wrapping on sprint and agility in ice hockey players.

Exercise time of day

Sleep deprivation negatively impacts cognition, pain, mood, metabolism, and immunity, which can reduce athletic performance. Melatonin facilitates sleepiness and may be impacted by the proximity of exercise to sleep. Our study was to evaluate the influence of exercise time of day on salivary melatonin responses.
